Dear supporters,
Some of you might be aware that one of our authors, Michele Kirsch, has had a lot of publicity for her recent memoir on how cleaning helped her recovery from alcoholism. She has also suggested an event to help publicise A Wild and Precious Life in a Shoreditch cafe, Paper and Cup. I will let you know once we have a date.
I have just completed an Arts Council application for A Wild and Precious Mentoring Programme, which will - if we are successful - allow for four of our recovery writers to be mentored by me, Zoe Gilbert, Michael Loveday and Emily Barosso. It will also pay for three readings and panel discussions, similar to the ones we hosted at Housemans and Lighthouse, and it will allow us to pay for some of the artistic costs of the book, which will bring us much closer to the target. So, fingers crossed we're successful this time.
We are working really hard to get those last pledges in - Unbound have been sending out letters to corporate companies to ask for patronage, and we continue to promote through Twitter. Please spread the word about the book, and help us get to our target by the end of the year!
Thank you for your continued support.
We'll let you know as soon as we get any news!
