I have VILE NEWS. Well, slightly vile. The super-duper collector's editions of the book are going to be delayed by a week or so.
Novoprint, the maximum-splendid Spanish printers of the backer's editions, use an external specialist company to make the nifty holographic foil dustjackets. However they were not pleased with the quality and have rejected the entire batch, demanding the whole lot be reprinted but properly this time.
I'm not sure how the scene played out, but I like to imagine someone calmly inspecting a dustjacket with a fancy eyepiece, then suddenly flipping the table over and screaming "¡Inaceptable!"
This, coupled with increased security at the Channel Tunnel after the recent murderous atrocities in France, means the books won't be in the UK as soon as we thought. As a result they'll hopefully be on their way to you around the same time the trade versions are released on 3rd December.
Oh well. But as my grandmother always used to say: "Better to be a bit later than expected, than to suffer the indignity of substandard holographic foil."
Anyway - I shall keep you updated on times. And then tell you about the Kindle editions of the ebook version as we're doing something interesting with them.
