Hello!
As you're someone who's been kind enough to support a previous book I've published with Unbound, I wanted to let you know that I'm writing a new novel: the follow-up to Villager, to be published early next year. It's set in 1983, on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border, where I grew up, and is about mining, aliens and lots of other things. If you'd like to, you can reserve a copy and contribute to the book's funding here: unbound.com/books/1983/. You'll also find an explanation of why I'm writing it, plus a little extract, and some very nice pledge rewards (including a crocheted scarf like the one I'm wearing in the attached photo).
I also now have a Substack page: I've been doing LOADS of writing on it, plus a new podcast, which is two episodes old, with a third imminent. If you'd like to subscribe, to make sure you don't miss any of this, you can do so via this link. It's completely free, but there is a paid option, which entitles you to some extra bits and bobs, significantly helps me write and record more, gradually escape the evils of social media and keep the podcast advert-free.
Finally, if you missed out on Villager in hardback, the paperback (which has an even lovelier cover, in my opinion) will be arriving on March 30th. You can pre-order a copy via Blackwells, with free worldwide delivery, here.
All the best, and thank you for reading,
Tom
