A heartfelt thanks

Late last night the Not As Nature Intended project hit a milestone. We reached 100 backers for the project. It’s so heartwarming to know that there are people out there who care about this project and, like me, want to get these stories out there for the animals. Thank you so much for your support and for pledging to make this book happen. Together, in just a couple of weeks, we’ve got this project a quarter of the way towards being fully funded.

So far there are 7 chapters of the book ready, out of a total of 10. There are chapters on the world of intensive rabbit farming in Europe, so-called ‘contract growers’ of chickens in the USA, and the wild-west world of fur-trapping.

Those of you who know personally me will know that in an effort to allow my covert work to continue I’ve been pretty closely-guarded about my identity. Until recently that’s meant no social media and no public appearances or talks. The downside is that now I’m ready to tell these stories I’ve got relatively little social media following or online presence to fall back on to get the word out. So with that in mind, I wanted to ask if there was something else you could do to support this project and help get it off the ground. If you could share the project on social media or encourage any friends or family to check it out that would mean ever so much to me. There’s still a long way to go to make this happen and I’ll need all the help I can get.

I’ll keep you updated as we progress, but for now, it’s just a huge, great-big thank you from me for your support. I really can’t make this happen without people like you.

Thanks

Rich
