So, this happened a little faster than I expected, but as of today Things I Learned About Mario's Butt is a fully funded book. It'll eventually be in all your homes, it'll be in various other places books can be found, this is really happening.
So, an update on where we are at with production. Now that we've hit 100% funded, a few key things will happen. Our artist Zack can now get paid his up front costs for the book art, which means our art production can start in earnest. This is likely going to be the part of the creative process which takes the longest time, so getting this ball rolling is the main thing we needed to do in order to get the book ready asap.
Beyond that, now that we're fully funded, I need to get my backside in gear and get writing. The entire planning structure for the book is complete, and a good chunk of the final text is complete, but I need to get contributor sections together, work out where to place them, write all the bits of the book which are not butt review text, and get everything formatted.
After two months of working almost exclusively on promotion and sales, now I get to return to my element, the thing I am good at, actually writing words.
Lastly, while I can't give you more information yet on when the book will reach everyone, I can show you a few new art sketches for the book. These are by no means final art, but just a way to show you what we've been working on this week, as the 100% mark started to get close enough we were able to get back to production work.
Thank you so so so much for your support everyone. This is such a niche concept for a book that crowdfunding was the only way it was ever going to get to see the light of day, and the fact you've all stood behind this concept so much is the only reason I get to dedicate work hours to creating something I am truly excited to create.
Enjoy some new sketches.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart <3
