I grew up in the Detroit area, worked in the Detroit area, and went to university in Detroit. I headed to Scotland on a PhD scholarship, met an amazing woman and now live in forest.
Like many a nerd, I got started in the world of storytelling by playing Dungeon and Dragons. Transilience is my first novel (there will be more...oh yes....there will be). It started life in a creative writing course and grew into a full length novel after weeks of research, which consisted of watching old black and white films and reading crime fiction.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, playing video games (a lot), and the occasional run through the aforementioned trees. I also brew beer with a friend, and we are quite good at it if I may say so myself.
